About the Author:

authorMarianne Morea is a New Yorker, born and bred, and for the most part her stories and characters embody the grit and complexity of the city. An avid traveler, she uses her experiences from around the world in all her books. There isn’t a place her characters live or travel that she haven’t been herself, and through her words, tries to transport my readers. Like most authors, her love affair with the written word started as a child with the books she read. Even today, she loves to read almost as much as she loves to write. Marianne’s favorite stories are the ones that transport her, that bring her to places and introduces her to characters that leave readers breathless…the ones that spark the fire of her imagination, allowing her to dream in the world of‘what if?’She’s always been a scribbler, and from the time she could write her name, Marianne has been making up stories. So it was no surprise to family and friends when she earned degrees in both Journalism and Fine Art, but after working in the trenches of Madison Avenue as a Graphic Artist, she decided to do what she loves most fulltime.Write.

Her dark paranormal romance,Blood Legacy, is the first book in her Legacy Series, and takes you from New York City to the Costa del la Luz in Spain, to foggy London and the romance of Rome. The story also takes you back in time 300 years to a place rife with conflict and brutality, bringing an historical edge to my vampires, their lives, a love that spanned the centuries and the search for absolution and redemption that carries death in its wake.Hunter’s BloodandTwice Cursed are books one and two in Marianne Morea’s contemporary shifter series,Cursed by Blood. The story is set on the east coast of the U.S., taking you from the rocky coast of Maine to the heart of New York City, the NYPD and the vampire underground. Revenge and the struggle for power all play a part in this urban fantasy suspense, where Weres and Vampires are forced to work together to solve the mystery of what’s tearing their veiled world apart from the inside out.

In the meantime Marianne is also a founding member as well as a former President of The Paranormal Romance Guild,a not-for-profit organization for readers and authors of the genre. She’s now a PRG Board Member and Co-Chair of the PRG Event/Marketing Team. She is still writing, and when not sitting‘bichok’ (but in a chair hands on keyboard), she’s spending time with her husband and three kids, traveling to exciting, romantic places …for inspiration, of course! Who says dreams can’t come true?

Interview One:

Character Interview with psychic, Lily Saburi, main character and heroine from Marianne Morea’s Urban Fantasy Saga, Cursed by Blood…

Interviewer: “I have wanted to meet you for so long. Tell me, Lily…most of the ladies think Sean is quite a hunk, is it true that when you first met him all you could think about was licking his thighs?”

[Lily blinks, open mouthed] “Boy, they told me you were direct…but jeez. Umm, yeah. Sean struck me immediately as a hottie. The way he walked toward me when I was in that hospital bed. It was entirely predatory, and he oozed sex appeal—I couldn’t help myself, but then again I was on heavy pain meds. I guess to answer your question, yes—he was, and is, mouthwateringly handsome.”

[Chuckling off set, Sean winks] “Back attcha, babe.”

Interviewer: “When Terry died, we all know how difficult that was for you, yet we really don’t see you cry. Where did you channel all that pain you so obviously felt?”

[Lily closes her eyes and exhales sadly before opening them again] “When something like that happens, you’re numb at first. You don’t know what to feel because the situation is just so unreal. And with everything else—the fact that I knew it was a Were that killed my best friend—it just made this unreality all the more unreal. I did cry. But my anger at the situation—at myself—was just too overwhelming at the time. Anyone who picks up the series knows that. I did cry, but just not where anyone could see.”

Interviewer: “You lost your family, but now you’ve inherited another through Sean. How are you adjusting?”

[Smiling, Lily glances over her shoulder at Sean] “Adjustment…that’s the perfect word to describe it. Things haven’t been smooth sailing for me and Sean since we got together. We didn’t just fall in love and ride off into the sunset together. We’ve had quite a bit of fine tuning and many heated moments. As Sean says, trouble is my middle name. Edward Parr…[Lily pauses, making a face]…he learned the hard way not to fuck with me and mine. But, I’ll leave that for you to find out. As to my family, I’ve still got Terry’s folks, and Sean’s family is now my family, so for the most part it’s all good.”

Interviewer: “Why do you suppose Ms. Morea titled the book Twice Cursed?”

[Lily tilts her head, thoughtfully] “I asked her that after she left us all hanging at the end of Hunter’s Blood. Big mistake, by the way. You think the readers hated that cliffhanger? Just ask the cast how we felt! But that’s another questions… I asked her why she picked Twice Cursed…I mean, she hadn’t even finished the outline and the book was named! She told me it was because of the vampires. You see, Weres are born dual natured. We are just another race akin to humankind. Marianne said that vampires were once human and so cursed into their existence, and what she was going to put them through in the book made them doubly cursed…so, Twice Cursed. Not bad, huh?”

Interviewer: “Tell me about Stephanie, Sean’s niece. She’s a psychic like you. Are you planning to help her develop her talents?”

[Lily shrugs, but glances over at Sean] “I didn’t come into my ‘talent’ as you call it until I was ten years old, after my parents died. Stephie was born with hers, so I’m not really sure if her senses work the same way as mine, but I will definitely be there for her. She is a lucky little girl, in that she had great people around her who love her. She’s only four years old, but man is she strong-minded, and the level of talent she’s exhibited already is a little scary. You should keep an eye out for her, there’s a story brewing there too!”

Interviewer: “What about you and Ryan and you and Jack? Doesn’t Sean ever get jealous?”

[Lily leans forward eyes narrowed at the interviewer] “I wouldn’t go there if I were you. I can’t stand it when people try to stir the shit. The subject of Jack Cochran is off limits, and I mean that. People can think what they like. Yeah, I’m over the top and some people might even say I’m a flirt, but that’s not true. I have very different, yet special relationships with both Jack and Ryan. You’ll just have to read the book to find out why and how…just don’t bring up Jack’s name to Sean…trust me on that. I know he told you I was hard to handle, but he’s the one who gets all alpha possessive. Do yourself a favor and ask me a different question.”

Interviewer [swallowing hard as she glances past Lily to see Sean’s suspicious scowl] “Okay then…moving on…You mentioned the vampires. What did you think when you first met them? Did they live up to your expectations or were they completely different from what you thought?”

[With half a smirk, Lily leans back in her chair and crosses her arms] “Wow. Who’da thought that talking about vampires would be a safer bet for a question? [She smiles at the interviewer] It’s okay, and that’s actually a good question. The vampires were a complete anomaly to me, nothing like I envisioned. They were eerily beautiful, but only on the surface. Their evil was patent, and anyone with any kind of intuitive nature would readily see it, and then immediately shit their pants. They are grace and civility, beauty in a sleek but deadly way, like a panther waiting to strike. Although I have to say that Remy has a story that is worthy of being told. His sorrow and his anguish is a tangible as his physical deformity. Makes me wonder what happened to him.”

Interviewer: “But don’t you and Sean have a close connection to the vampires now? Couldn’t you just ask Remy what happened?”

You would think so, but no. The is still a divide, and I would never have that kind of effrontery to assume to ask Remy something that personal. Perhaps we’ll all find out at some point in the saga. There’s a lot more to unfold…”

Interviewer: And my last question has to be…do you ever think you’ll choose pack life and race the moon with Sean?

[Lily shrugs, slyly] I don’t know yet. Guess we’ll both just have to wait and see.

Interviewer: Thank you, Lily, for sharing so much with us, and yes, there is much more to come, and I can’t wait!

Interview 2:

Character Interview with Sean Leighton, current Alpha of the Brethren of Weres and main character from Marianne Morea’s Urban Fantasy Saga, Cursed by Blood…

Interviewer: Tell about yourself, Sean…

[Chuckling, Sean raises an eyebrow] “What’s there to tell, really?” [He runs a hand through his hair, exhaling, sexy half smile teasing the corner of his mouth] “I’m a shape-shifter, someone blessed with dual natures. Other than that, I grew up not much differently than you. I had a mother and a father and a younger brother. Unfortunately, I’m all that’s left of my family.”

Interviewer: Didn’t your brother have a family, and let’s not forget about Lily…

[Sean snorts.] “I couldn’t forget Lily even if I wanted to! But, you’re right, of course…Jerard is survived by his wife, Rissa and their daughter Stephie, and that little one is something special—and not just because she’s my niece. She’s responsible in a huge way for saving more than one life, but you’ll have to read the story to find out about that.”

Interviewer: You still haven’t said a word about Lily. Trouble in paradise?

Lily’s middle name is trouble, so I would tread very carefully if I were you. As to my relationship with her: she’s headstrong and hard to handle, yet compassionate, super smart and fierce…not to mention beautiful…she’s everything I never knew I wanted and I wouldn’t change a thing. Trouble in paradise? With Lily, it wouldn’t be paradise unless there was trouble.”

Interviewer: As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

[Shrugs] “I never really gave it much thought. In my world you are born into your dual nature and automatically part of a pack or pride or whatever the grouping is specific to your animal nature. I knew I was destined to be the Alpha of my pack because of my blood line. Challenges are far and few these days, but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I’d be the Alpha of something as unusual as the Brethren or that we’d have anything like our experimental Compound.”

Interviewer: Out of all the natures you were gifted with when you became Alpha, which is the most fun to shift into?

[A sheepish grin spreads across Sean’s face] My hunter’s will never let me live this down, but it has to be the gift of flight I received from the Avians. Flying is an unbelievable rush, the only thing that comes close is racing the full moon. Our Compound may be multi-specied, but each group still thinks their particular set of ‘skills’ is king. Me, I love being a wolf, but flying is amazing.

Interviewer: What are you passionate about these days?

[Smiling broadly now, he glances over his shoulder at the pretty honey blonde sitting off to the side of the interview set] “Lily. She’s my whole existence now, her and the survival of our Compound. Though I do wish she’d change her hair color back to her natural dark chestnut…”

[Lily blows a razzberry at him off set.]

Interviewer: [chuckling] “Well, you know what they say about blondes having more fun…

[Raising an eyebrow, Sean cocks his head to the side] “With Lily, you never go right to fun. [He winks at her.] But it’s definitely a rollercoaster ride worth taking.”

Interviewer: What is your favorite meal?

You’re kidding, right?” [With a sly grin, Sean leans forward in his chair, letting a bit of a growl rumble in his throat for effect] “I do enjoy a very, very, succulent…[the interviewer scoots back in her chair and Sean laughs out loud] “Sorry, I just couldn’t resist. I guess my favorite meal is what any carnivore would crave… a big, juicy steak.

Interviewer: What do you do to unwind and relax?

I run in wolf form through the forest. It calms me, and helps me to put things into perspective or clear my mind.” [Looking over his shoulder again, he smiles, shaking his head] “Lily hasn’t joined me yet, she’s still debating on whether or not she wants that particular part of our lunar driven world.”

Interviewer: If you could apologize to someone in your past, who would it be?

[Sean takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly] “I’m not really sure how to answer that question. I guess I would have to say, my brother, Jerard. With the Compound and the coming together of all the species of Were, I was preoccupied and didn’t see that his marriage was crumbling and that he had lost his way. If I had paid more attention, perhaps he’d still be alive.”

Interviewer: What is something people would be surprised about you?

That unlike Hollywood stereotypes, Weres are not bloodthirsty, mindless beasts come the full moon. We can shift any time, any day. We are as comfortable and as cognizant in our animal forms as we are when we’re in our human forms. We’re really not that different from anyone else—just like humans, we have our good days and our bad days. We get angry and vent, we laugh, we cry, we bleed when we’re hurt, we have prejudices that we need to rise above…we’re just trying to find our way in this world just like you.”

Interviewer: Thank you, Sean, for taking the time to meet with us this evening.

#Interview for #Author Maria Hammarblad

buttonHow did you get into writing?

Thank you so much for inviting me to your blog! I’ve always wanted to write. As a little girl, I would admire the books in my mom’s bookshelf. She had some older volumes, dark green with gold on the spines, and I thought they were so beautiful. I wanted to make some myself. Books have always seemed magical to me. They’re nice to look at, and open doors to new worlds. Nowadays many are electronic, of course, but their covers are still nice to look at in the computer. =)

What is your favorite thing about being a writer?

I get to spend time with the imaginary people living in my head, and it seems normal. I’ve always had an extremely vivid imagination, living in my own world. As a writer, it’s okay to be a little eccentric.

How do you come up with ideas for your stories?

The stories come from all sorts of places. Usually, I see something in real life and my mind starts asking, “What if…” It goes along the lines of: “What if that guy is really an undercover cop?” “Wow, this is a really deserted road. What if a spaceship would land here right now.” Crazy stuff, but I can’t stop playing with it, and then a story is born.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced with being a writer?

For me, it’s been the cultural differences. I’m Swedish originally, and even if Swedish and American people share the same ideas of what a book is, we have different cultural conventions surrounding writing styles and acceptable subjects. People from different places also react differently. It’s difficult to get around, because what’s “normal” or believable to me can seem completely wacko to an American. I’m learning, but it takes time.

How did you choose the genre you write?

To be honest, I think it chose me. I mean, I never planned to be a scifi romance writer; it’s the genre that came naturally to me. I sometimes write contemporary stories too, when I see something that captures my imagination, but I would have a hard time changing tracks completely. As an example, I know many writers who write fantastic historical books. I wouldn’t know where to start. If I tried, my mind would probably paint it out like, “Hmmm, 17th century France, girls frolic around in gorgeous dresses and a spaceship lands on a meadow…”

Do you do a lot of research prior to writing your stories?

Yes I do. I usually start writing and realize I know nothing about the subject matter. The most extreme case was when I wrote Kidnapped and enrolled in a college class in astrobiology… If I write something contemporary, I often go out and talk to people who might know more. Google is also invaluable; I can’t fathom how much time research must have taken before the Internet.

Don’t get me wrong, I make the books up and tweak reality so it fits better, but I think it’s easier to make a world believable if it at least has roots in the truth.

How long does it take to finish a book?

I usually write a first draft quickly. Getting the major parts done takes a couple of weeks. After that, I tinker with it for months or even years. I just finished working on a book I started in 2010. It’s been slumbering in the computer for long periods of time, and I can’t even remember how many times I’ve re-written it.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

I play the bass. I used to play in a couple of rock bands back in Sweden, but I haven’t had enough time and energy to invest in it lately. I also like making videos – I help a local dog rescue make videos of the dogs, and I make book trailers.

I often get really into something and do it with heart and soul for a few months, and then I’m bored. Last year I thought archery was the coolest thing ever. When I eventually learned to hit the target, I grew bored…

What is in your to be read pile?

My husband bought me some books for Christmas, and a real, physical book is a treat nowadays. I have the new Odd Thomas book by Dean Koontz waiting, and a new Stephen King book. In my Kindle, “The Green Rose” by Stephanie Burkhart waits for me, along with “Hex and the Single Witch” by Roxanne Rhoads. I started reading the latter the other day, but real life called so I didn’t get very far.

Could you name one favorite quote?

Right now I say, “Caffeine is good for you” a lot. I don’t know if it counts as a quote, but I’ll go with it anyway. =D

In this second novella in the “Embarkment 2577” series, the story picks up shortly after it left off in “Brand New World.” The main character Alex has come to terms with her new life on a starship in the year 2577, and reluctantly won both respect and admiration for her actions during an alien attempt to conquer the ship.

Excerpt High Gravity

“Joshen Martinez is an old friend of mine, a mentor, he wouldn’t hurt you. He just wants to connect you to a machine that will tap out your memories. Your knowledge is valuable, and everyone would be able to see what you know. Sort of… like watching a movie.”

Having people watch all my memories? Intrusion of privacy, much?

I got to my feet. “I’ve heard enough of this. I have other things to do.”

Kevin stood up too. “Yes you do. Go pack your bags. This joke is over and you’re coming with me to the Kentucky.”

I took a step towards the door. “In your dreams.”

Blake said, “Sit down. Both of you.”

He didn’t raise his voice, but it was impossible not to obey. Kevin opened his mouth and my Captain made a dismissive gesture. “You’ve already said too much. Sit down and be quiet.”

Watching the scientist sink down, carefully keeping his mouth shut, filled me with glee. Blake pressed a button on his desk. “Commander Adam, could you come to my office for a minute, please.”

My husband’s voice filled the room. “Right away, Sir.”

I didn’t realize how tense I was until he stood in the doorway and I dared relax. He glanced between me and Kevin and crossed his arms over his chest. Adam was tall, strong, intimidating, and mine.

“What’s going on?”

Once again, Kevin opened his mouth. Blake snapped, “Silence.”

Kevin leaned back in his chair and rolled his eyes.

“Adam, this is Kevin. He has come to retrieve your wife.”

“Not happening, Sir.”

I wanted to squirm. “Can I move now?”

Blake smirked. “Yes Alex, you may move.”

I bounced to my feet and threw my arms around Adam. He hugged me back and murmured, “Don’t worry.”

After kissing me tenderly, he put his hands on my shoulders and turned me around so I faced Kevin. Then, he wrapped his arms around me from behind. “This is my wife. She means more to me than my life. She definitely means more to me than your life. If I were you, I’d choose my next words wisely.”

I glanced up at him. “I love you too.”

He smiled and brushed his lips over my temple.

Blake leaned his elbows on the desk and tapped his fingers together. “Mr Nolan, have we satisfied your curiosity, or do you wish to continue the discussion with the commander? I’m sure he’d be more than happy to demonstrate his… abilities. Would you like to see him fold a spare piece of hull plating a couple of times?”

“We’re good.”

Book Description:

When Alexandra wakes up in an unknown environment, populated by a cat-like woman with a tail and a hologram of a rockstar, she knows she has to be hallucinating. Maybe she hit her head, or finally suffered that nervous breakdown. It doesn’t get any better from finding out she died and was taken into the future by the elusive Adam, whom she can’t remember, or from people telling her she’s on a spaceship.

The last year or so is gone from her memory, and she has no choice but to try to adapt. As days go by, her new environment becomes more and more unnerving. She finds herself helpless, and completely dependent on a man who isn’t even human.

“Brand New World” is the first novella in the “Embarkment 2577” series.

Author Bio:pic

Born in Sweden in the early 1970’s, Maria showed a large interest for books at an early age. Even before she was able to read or write, she made her mom staple papers together into booklets she filled with drawings of suns and planets. She proudly declared them, “The Sun Book.” They were all about the sun. She also claimed, to her mother’s horror, that her being on Earth was a big mistake and that her alien family would come and bring her home at any moment. This never happened, but both the interest in space and the passion for bookmaking stayed with her.

As an adult Maria’s creativity got an outlet through playing bass in a number of rock bands, and through writing technical manuals and making web pages for various companies and organizations. She did write drafts for a few novels, but the storytelling muse was mostly satisfied through role playing online on Myspace. It was here, while writing stories together with people from around the globe, she stumbled onto Mike. They started talking out of character, and she moved over to Florida to him late 2008. Today the two are married and live in the Tampa Bay area with three rescue dogs.

Besides writing and playing bass, Maria enjoys driving off-road, archery, and Tameshigiri.

 Interview with Bella Andre

about her writing habits and success

1. Tell us about writing and publishing your very first novel. What were your expectations when you first waded into the self-publishing pond? Is there anything you would do differently if given another chance?

I honestly had no expectations other than some of my loyal readers would finally get a chance to read my book – and that was enough for me. Meeting so many new readers and fans has been icing on a cake I had no idea was being served.

2. You’re an icon in the indie publishing community. Your success is something we all aspire to. What do you believe has been the greatest contributing factor to the success of your novels?

Thank you, that’s lovely to hear. I’ve so enjoyed self-publishing these past couple of years, and I’ve been lucky to have the most wonderful fans with me every step of the way. There are so many things that go into success, but I think my focus and determination – along with the best readers in the world – have been the biggest factors.

3. What was your reaction when you first found out you broke onto the New York Times and USA Today best-sellers’ lists? How did you celebrate?

Actually, it’s kind of a funny story. I was on my way to the RWA National conference last summer and was sitting in the airport in Albany, New York when I found out I had three books on the USA Today bestsellers list. I called my husband and we had a mini celebration on the phone. I flew into Atlanta where I was switching planes for Anaheim, and when we landed I turned on my phone and checked my email. An agent (not mine, I was agentless at the time) had emailed me with the title “CONGRATULATIONS, New York Times!” That was when I found out I also had three books on the New York Times bestseller list…and I started crying. On the airplane. With a very conservative woman sitting next to me. She must have thought I was losing it, because she promptly turned her back on me. :) Of course I called my husband and cried happy tears some more. That night when I got into Anaheim, all of my closest writing friends came up to my room and we celebrated. It was AWESOME!

4. You’ve recently shared some very exciting news—Harlequin MIRA has optioned the print rights for The Sullivans in a record-breaking seven-figure deal. Congratulations! How did this transpire? And how does it affect your writing and publishing plans?

Thank you, I’m beyond thrilled about it and Harlequin have been a dream to work with. They are so incredibly enthusiastic about putting The Sullivans out in paperback in English all over the world, with a simultaneous launch in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia starting this June and going back-to-back each month with the first eight books through April 2014.

My ebook sales numbers for the self-published Sullivan series had been growing bigger and bigger in the year since I’d started publishing the series, and I knew a print-only deal was going to happen soon. When so many Sullivans hit the New York Times and USA Today all at once, that was when the publishers started calling and making offers. I truly feel that Harlequin is the *perfect* publisher for my sexy, emotional contemporary romance Sullivan series.

Because I retained all of my ebook, audiobook, foreign translation and film/TV rights, I am continuing to put out my Sullivans, and other future books, as self-published ebooks and audio books. I have released seven Sullivan ebooks so far and the eighth (ALWAYS ON MY MIND, Lori Sullivan’s story) will be out this spring…and I have a great idea for a brand new series that I hope to start writing this year as well. I have licensed the series in Brazil, France and Portugal so far, and the first two books are already big bestsellers in Brazil, which is very exciting.

5. You write fast! Not only do you produce several novels per year, you produce several well written, polished novels per year. What is your writing process like? Do you have any advice for other wordsmiths struggling with productivity?

Thanks for the great compliment. I work so hard on my stories to make sure they’re emotional and fun and sexy and that they take my readers out of their lives for a little while. I write every day, everywhere, no matter what. I don’t wait for inspiration or a muse to come calling. Fortunately, my favorite thing is writing. In fact, today as I was sniffling over my keyboard during a really emotional scene between my hero and heroine, I was thinking how very happy it made me to be able to write books all day…and to know that I have the best fans in the world waiting to read them!

6. In the early days, what did you do to market your books? Would you recommend these strategies to writers in today’s market?

I took a really personal approach. Because I had started digital publishing in response to my readers who had emailed asking me for books, whenever I released a book, I individually emailed each and every single reader to let them know about it. Now, thanks to Facebook and Twitter, I can interact with my readers in other ways that let me spend more time on actually writing, and I recommend doing anything that puts you in touch with your readers.

7. How has making it big changed your approach to writing and marketing your work? Has it changed your approach?

I truly believe that my fans want me to spend more time writing and less time gabbing. :) So I always err on the side of writing…and then once I’ve met my page count goals for the day, I go onto twitter and Facebook and answer emails.

8. You’ve connected with a large international fan base. Do readers abroad respond differently to your novels than those in the USA? Which countries in particular have fallen in love with your work?

I’m having a love affair with my Brazilian readers, and I also love love love my Australia/New Zealand, UK and Canadian readers as well! They’re so passionate and supportive of The Sullivans – but I’ve been really fortunate to find readers everywhere have been kind and amazing.

9. You attend a lot of conferences. Recently, you delivered the keynote address at the 2012 Book Expo America. How have conferences contributed to your writing career?

Conferences are an amazing opportunity to stay abreast of what’s happening in the business. I get incredible value out of networking in the lounge and hearing what people are up to and what ideas they have. The thing is, I truly love this business and everyone I’ve met had been wonderful…so it’s really not work at all for me. In fact, going to a conference and meeting with people is always such fun.

10. My, you are a busy bee! How do you find balance between writing, publishing, and promoting your books and the rest of your life? Any tips for the rest of us?

Give up sleep and sanity…and have an awesome husband who is happy to take care of absolutely everything non-book-related in your life! :) But seriously – get a good team behind you. I have a team of beta readers, editors, proofers and digital file producers, I work with great bloggers, and I also have the love and support of my family. Everyone thinks “indie publishing” means being independent, but it’s not the case at all. While you get to be charge of your own career and your own vision, you also work with tons of great people to put your book out there!

Back to the Blogasphere

As I work on promoting my new books, I realized it’s been almost a year since I’ve published anything to my blog. Time has flown by and I’ve went through some dramatic changes. My mind has become full circle back to my passion of writing. I’ve just published four books, two novels and two short erotica stories. I’ve chosen the self-publishing route once again and hope it pays off. In addition to these books, I’ve also managed to finish the one novel which has plagued me since the beginning of my writing career. With it came the blank slate of not knowing where to go next. However, I refuse to allow myself to bask in my accomplishments and I’m hard at work on finishing the revisions for my first ever Suspense/Thriller. With luck, I’ll have both of these books ready to be released to the public before the end of the year.

To celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday, and the publishing of my work, I’m giving away a free copy of my short Erotica Christmas story to anyone who comments on this post. And that’s not all…One lucky winner will get a choice of either of my Paranormal Romance novels. Pregnant men, or a sexy bodyguard. Which would you choose? If you don’t win, don’t be dismayed. For a limited time, each of my books are on sale for just $0.99! Be sure to follow my blog and leave your email in the comments box for your chance to win. And share with your friends! Everyone loves a sexy, naughty Santa!

Review for A Familiar Tangle with Hell

“A Familiar Tangle In Hell” was an interesting read. In the first few pages, I wondered if I would enjoy the story, as it seemed a bit on the religious side. I stuck with it and soon threw my trepidation out the window. The sex scenes were graphic and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the demon Familiar Charun and his witch, Tina getting it on. I loved how the author incorporated Greek mythology, portions of the Bible, erotica and romance to create the perfect combination. The descriptions were vivid and it almost felt like I was watching a movie rather than reading a book. There were a few small areas where the story dragged a little but it would soon pick up and I’d be reading faster than my phone could respond. My favorite part of the whole story is the bunny! Once you read the story, you’ll understand what I mean.

For anyone who enjoys stories of sex, demons, the Devil, the battle between Heaven and Hell, or just magic and sexy men in general, this could be a story you would enjoy devouring.

Review of “My Life as a Sex-O-Gram”

My Life as a Sex-O-Gram

Thanks to a friend on Facebook, I downloaded this book from Amazon for free. The title caught my eye and I thought it would be a fascinating book to read. This story is told in the first person narrative and it’s a lot of walking through the scenes. The abrupt sexual scenes and behaviors surprised me quite a bit. The scenes were graphic and explicit, which I enjoyed. I did notice a lot of redundancy in the phrases, which meant that the writer repeated the same thoughts multiple times. As a fellow writer, this automatically caught my attention, though a regular reader probably wouldn’t notice.

Despite these few minor technical issues, the story was different from anything I’d ever read and made me think more of a fictional journal or memoir than an actual story. There was no plot line, conflict, climax or resolution. The character didn’t experience any sort of life altering scenario, other than deciding to branch out on her own from a stripper-o-gram to a basic prostitute.

If readers enjoy hot sex, very descriptively written out, anal sex, F/F, multiple partners, masturbation, and/or domination, this may be a book you’d pick up. For readers who are not interested in any of this stuff, you may want to find a different book, as this story contains a scenario of each and more.

I’d rate this book a 3.5.

Her One Night PrinceBLURB:

Her One-Night Prince is a Cinderella story about a woman’s dream to be something she’s not for just one night at her class reunion.

As all fairy tales go, however, happy endings don’t come easily.

Shy and sheltered Lydia St. Clair is uncomfortable around men, so she advertises for a gay man to be her date and revamp her style. Mitch Gannon answers Lydia’s ad and he’s perfect for the job–he’s handsome and, even more important, he’s charming.

Unbeknownst to Lydia, Mitch is straight and answered the ad as the unwitting victim of a practical joke. Before he can reveal the truth, Lydia is convinced he’s her fairy godmother, ready to transform her into the belle of the ball. And Mitch, prince that he is, doesn’t have the heart to set her straight.

EXCERPT:Her One Night Prince Cover

With a firm hand against her upper back, Mitch propelled Lydia out of the bar and out the door. She peered back through the windows and could just make out that waitress standing behind the bar and staring out at them.

“She’s beautiful,” she said, turning back to Mitch. Something about that woman signaled a déjà vu of sorts in her mind, but she couldn’t quite put a finger on it.

“Who? Edwina?” He glanced into the pub. “Yeah, she is.”

Edwina’s showstopping figure and stunning looks caused Lydia to self-consciously smooth back her boring, pulled-tight-into-a-bun-as-usual hair. She couldn’t imagine a woman like Edwina ever advertising in the gay personals. She couldn’t imagine Edwina making a boob of herself by assuming Mitch worked at a gay bar.

With the heel of her palm, she bonked herself in the side of the head a few times. “Just shoot me, will you?”

Mitch pulled her hand away from her head. “You’re too hard on yourself, Lydia.”

For a moment she zeroed in on the feeling of his large, warm hand holding hers. It felt good, like it belonged there, which was a crazy thought. Reality returned, and she pulled her hand from his grasp.

“What in the world was I thinking?” she asked. Her skin burned from embarrassment, or the heat of summer, or his touch…or all the above.

“It’s understandable you’d assume I worked at a gay bar. I mean, you think I…er…”

She waved her hand back and forth. “No, no. That was just plain stupidity. What I meant was, I had this grand notion of you helping me out and transforming me into the belle of the ball. You know, Queer Eye my style or something.” She wrapped her arms around herself despite the warm air and strode down the alley. If a sinkhole opened up in front of her, she’d gladly fall into it.

He jogged up beside her as they reached the sidewalk. “I don’t know about the clothing and hair stuff,” he said, “but I could certainly give you advice on men.” He cleared his throat and coughed. “I mean, since I’m a, ah, man.”

“That’s okay. It was a dumb idea. Besides, I don’t want advice on men. It would be pointless.” She pulled black-framed sunglasses from her purse and exchanged them for her regular glasses to block the blinding glare off the sidewalk.

Mitch didn’t respond right away, so she knew he silently agreed with her. Finally, he asked, “Why would it be pointless?”

She had about a million reasons. “It just would be.”

Dirty Dozen Weekend

Weekend Dirty DozenFor this weekend’s Dirty Dozen, I decided to post a piece from my completed, yet unpublished novel, A Woman’s Revenge. In this novel, a demon is getting revenge on cheating males by making them pregnant! Paranormal and Demonic Research arrive at the newest crime scene to try and stop her. Instead, she ends up impregnating one of the agents. Here’s a scene between pregnant man Jaxon Diego, and Healer/Empath doctor Mandi Thompson.

~~~
Oh, sorry about that. It’s a morning thing. I hope you don’t think,” he cut off before he could finish the sentence.
Mandi thrashed her head back and forth. “That would never occur to me. I’m not that type of woman.”
Jaxon pulled her around to face him, oblivious to her discomfort about his arousal and his state of near undress.
I thought last night went a long way to show you how desirable you are.”
Mandi shrugged. “It’s your condition.”
The only condition I have around you is horny.”
~~~

Though this book is not yet on sale, I do have one available for 99 cents until December 1st. Heart Over Mind is a paranormal romance e-book which has all types of mythical creatures, great sex, and a life or death situation. You can also buy it in paperback on Amazon.

Be sure to check out other participating authors at http://weekenddirtydozen.blogspot.com/

One lucky commenter can win a free copy of Heart Over Mind. All you have to do is follow this blog, like my fan page, like the Dirty Dozen fanpage, and comment on this post!
