Perhaps it’s my love of the Supernatural, but October is such an awesome month for me. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love seeing all the children dress up in such cute costumes. Every year, I try to something a bit different than other people. A Hippie, bar wench, a vampire countess. Last year, I was the famous Marie Laveau. I know most people have no idea who this is, so I’m going to post a Youtube video for any interested parties. When my daughter was just 6 months old, she loved this song. To this day, even though she’s 5, we still call her this. I love it because it brings back memories of my deceased grandmother. She loved this song, and her name was Marie.

Voodoo is a fascinating subject, and Voodoo Priestesses are so interesting. I would love to meet one in person. If you know any great sites, feel free to share. I need all the research I can get. I’ll be writing a book about Voodoo in a few years. As part of the rules for this blog hop, I’ve decided I’m going to do a contest a bit different than usual. I’m going to post a question. All you have to do to answer it is listen to the song. Post your answer and I’ll use Random.org to draw a winner. The prize is a free copy of my ebook, Heart Over Mind, released Sept 14. Sara Trimble is a romance author with one romance novel published and another novel in the final revisions process. She also has a collection of over eighty short stories stored away. She works as a columnist with Night Owl Reviews, conducting interviews with best-selling authors and reviewing their books.
